Formed in 1997 as a punk band, then mutated as a rap group, LA CONECTA was created in Compiègne (aka Compton, France), by Junior Makhno aka Général Alcazar and Subzero. Influenced by various US Hip-hop groups (from Gravediggaz to Mos Def), LA CONECTA mostly take their inspiration in the riots that took places around them in the beginning 2000s, in which they took part. Beats are produced by Junior Makhno. LA CONECTA is not active anymore but a compilation of their work is in preparation and is due to release in 2011.
